Army Public Health Nursing 

The Army Public Health Nursing (APHN) Program provides oversight of population level primary and secondary prevention activities for APHNs.  APHNs possess a unique skill set that enhances the operating and generating forces by embedding wellness and prevention throughout the total Army force.

MISSION:   Army Public Health Nursing preserves the strength of our Nation by ensuring the delivery of Essential Public Health Services to America’s Sons and Daughters and supports the creation of healthy environments for military communities.

VISION: To support soldier readiness in garrison and deployed environments and to provide responsive and evidence-based public health nursing services to promote health and wellness for all those entrusted to our care.

APHN Program Capabilities

The APHN Program provides subject matter expertise and consultation in the areas of APHN Scope and Practice Standardization, Regulatory Compliance, Policy Advisement, and advisement for Human Capital Distribution.  Additional focus areas for the APHN program include:
