Colonel (COL) Bosetti graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Medical Service Corps on 18 May 1990, as an Environmental Engineer.  COL Bosetti holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute. He has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin (1997) and a Master of Military Arts and Science from the Army Command and General Staff College (2002). Additionally, he also earned a Master in Strategic Studies from the Air War College.  COL Bosetti is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

COL Bosetti is a resident graduate of the Air War College, the Army Command and General Staff College, the Army Medical Department Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Principles of Military Preventive Medicine Course, and Basic Industrial Hygiene Course. He holds the Joint Planner/Staff Officer skill identifier (3H).

He has a variety of operational deployments from Somalia, to the Balkans, and the Middle East. His previous assignments include: Chief, Force Health Protection (Deputy Surgeon/XO), Third Army/US Army Central; Commander, Public Health Command Region – West; Chief, Department of Environmental Sciences, US Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine- Europe; Force Health Protection Staff Officer for the Coalition Forces Land Component Command / US Army Central during Operation Iraqi Freedom; Combat Development Action Officer, AMEDD Center and School; Commander, 71st Medical Detachment; and, Executive Officer, 485th Medical Detachment.

His awards and decorations include: Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal with 6 oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, and the Joint Meritorious and Army Superior Unit Awards. He is Airborne and Air Assault qualified and earned the Expert Field Medical Badge. COL Bosetti was the 1993 Medical Service Corps Junior Officer of the Year. He is a member of the Order of Military Medical Merit and holds the Surgeon General’s “A” Proficiency Designator for Environmental Science and Engineering.
