DoDMWDVS Section-Medicine 

The Medicine Section provides routine and comprehensive medical care to working dogs. The section has over 800 visits each month. Cases range from routine physical examinations to more complex medical and intensive/critical care cases. Personnel include two internal medicine external link specialists and nine technicians, including two which have primary responsibility for medical management of puppies from the Department of Defense and Transportation Security Administration breeding programs.

The section possesses an extensive array of equipment to conduct diagnostic procedures and treatments such as fiber-optic endoscopy, electrodiagnostics, vital sign telemetry, chemotherapy and in-house laboratory.
