TG 230 - Environmental Health Risk Assessment and Chemical Exposure Guidelines for Deployed Military Personnel
TG 230 provides a standard methodology for characterizing chemical exposure risks at deployment locations in a manner that is consistent with military risk management doctrine. Health-based, military exposure guidelines (MEGs) for chemicals are presented for air, water, and soil associated with various deployment exposure scenarios.
Associated Documents: TG230, RD230, Master MEG Table
Date: June 2010
Current Status: Revisions currently underway for a future update.
TG 248 - Guide for Deployed Preventive Medicine Personnel on Health Risk Management
TG 248 introduces the processes and tools that can be used to make appropriate decisions based on medical threats. It is written for preventive medicine personnel who are assigned the task of providing deployment health risk assessments to the commander based on Occupational and Environmental Hazard and Endemic Disease (OEH/ED) surveillance.
Associated Documents: TG248
Date: August 2001
Current Status: An administrative review was performed and TG248 was certified current October 2010. With the planned revisions to DA PAM 40-11 (Preventive Medicine), this TG will likely be phased out.
TG 254 - Standard Practice for Wildlife Toxicity Reference Values
TG 254 establishes a standard methodology for generating, supporting, and documenting defensible wildlife toxicity reference values (TRVs) for chemicals of interest in Army ecological risk assessments.
Associated Documents: Please contact the USAPHC Publication Management Division for more information.
Date: October 2000
Current Status: TG254 is a USAPHC legacy publication under review.

TG 312 - Health Risk Assessment Methods and Screening Levels for Evaluating Office Worker Exposures to Contaminants on Indoor Surfaces Using Surface Wipe Data
TG 312 provides a method for evaluating potential health risks to office workers from exposure to chemical substances on indoor work surfaces. This technical guide is intended to provide users with the option of conducting a screening analysis or a site-specific characterization of potential health risks from exposure to contaminants.
Associated Documents: TG312
Date:
June 2009
Current Status: At this time there are no planned revisions.
TG 316 - Microbial Risk Assessment for Aerosolized Microorganisms
TG 316 provides a general methodology framework for assessing aerosolized microbial hazards and characterize risk as a result of environmental, occupational, or intentional exposures. The TG outlines the considerations and steps necessary to complete a microbial risk assessment. It is designed to be used as a preplanning or post-event tool. Stand-alone TG 316 supplements provide specific information and risk assessment tools, to include biological military exposure guidelines (BMEGs).
Associated Documents: TG 316 and numerous TG 316 supplements
have been published with a restricted distribution. (Password protected - AKO)
Date: August 2009 - March 2012
Current Status: Multiple TG 316 supplements are under active development and TG 316 itself is planned for revision.
TG 330 - The Rodent Sperm Analysis Method in Terrestrial Health Risk Assessment
TG 330 describes the Rodent Sperm Analysis (RSA) method, an Army-developed and patented method that enhances terrestrial ecological risk assessments for mammals. RSA is a one-of-a-kind direct health status assessment method for actual mammalian populations in the field at contaminated sites.
