Training 

Our Hazardous and Medical Waste Training Team will train personnel to properly identify, handle, and dispose hazardous and medical waste to prevent and minimize risk of injuries and protect the military public health. Certification courses train personnel to properly package, label and ship select agents, laboratory medical samples, and medical waste to sustain the health of the warfighter and their families, prevent injuries, and protect public health.

Advanced Waste Management - On-site Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) This workshop is designed for personnel who have completed the basic course and need to be updated on the latest regulatory changes. On-site Training Requests: The requesting facility/location assumes responsibility to arrange for the training site and to MIPR the cost of travel, per diem, and any other associated course costs to USAPHC.

Basic Waste Management - On-site Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) This course can assist in fulfilling the general training requirements initially required for HW managers by RCRA regulations. The course is tailored to the level and/or experience of the group, and is interactive with practical exercises are used throughout. On-site Training Requests: The requesting facility/location assumes responsibility to arrange for the training site and to MIPR the cost of travel, per diem, and any other associated course costs to USAPHC.

Environmental Science & Engineering Officer WorkshopTopics covered include Environmental Program Requirements (EPR) project identification and funding management; basic and advanced hazardous waste management; regulated medical waste management; preparing for Joint Commission; Auditing Basics; and others. This workshop is designed for Environmental Science & Engineering Officers (ESEOs) who are currently assigned to a health care facility. We can accept other ESEOs, evaluated on a case by case basis. Dates will be posted when a new course is schedule
Medical Waste Transport - Online Refresher Course(Sponsor: USAPHC) The purpose of this on-line course is to recertify housekeeping and medical facility personnel who package and ship regulated medical waste. Personnel may register for this refresher course ONLY if their basic MWT training is due to expire within 90 days. Once accepted, students have 30 days from their official start date to complete the course.
Medical Waste Transport Course (Sponsor: USAPHC) This course is designed specifically for laboratory personnel who package and ship laboratory samples and specimens. Housekeeping personnel should register for the 3 day USAPHC Medical Waste Transport Course. We are not providing funding - it is your unit/installations responsibility to pay TDY and travel expenses. .
Medical Waste Transport Course - On-site Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) This on-site course is designed for housekeeping and medical facilities personnel who ship regulated medical waste ONLY. Laboratorians should register for the 5-day USAPHC Transport of Biomedical Materials Course. On-site Training Requests: The requesting facility/location assumes responsibility to arrange for the training site and to MIPR the cost of travel, per diem, and any other associated course costs to USAPHC.
Multimedia Environmental - On-site Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) Site-specific training is available to help installations understand environmental program requirements, access resources to assist with program implementation, and fulfill key compliance requirements. Training may be directed toward management personnel, environmental staff, and/or shop-level workers. Instruction includes media-specific consultations in the areas of Air Quality, Asbestos Management, Contingency Planning (POL), Hazardous Waste Management, NEPA, Solid Waste Management, Waste Water, Water Quality, Storage Tank Management, Integrated Natural Resources, and Integrated Pest Management. On-site Training Requests: The requesting facility/location assumes responsibility to arrange for the training site and to MIPR the cost of travel, per diem, and any other associated course costs to USAPHC.
Pharmaceutical Waste Disposal(Sponsor: USAPHC) The Pharmaceutical Waste Disposal Training is requested by MEDCOM Environmental to provide mission critical Hazardous Waste (HW) and Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) training to Pharmacists assigned to MTFs. The HW and RMW training will highlight the environmental liabilities and DEA management issues that cross over from logistics into the pharmacies. 10-11 June 2014 at FT Leavenworth, KS
Pharmaceutical Waste Management Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) Provides pharmacy personnel fundamental training in waste management ensuring proper waste identification and management through the pharmacy reducing liability, protecting human health and preserving the environment. Supports RCRA and other Federal training requirements. Sustainable Procurement - On-site Training(Sponsor: USAPHC) On-site training is provided to assist installations with implementation of sustainable procurement (SP). SP shows preference to products and services that consider environmental and health impacts in accordance with one or more of the established Federal procurement preference programs. Audience includes government purchase card holders, contracting officers, procurement specialists, writers/reviewers of contract specifications, GPC buyers, and approving officials. On-site Training Requests: The requesting facility/location assumes responsibility to arrange for the training site and to MIPR the cost of travel, per diem, and any other associated course costs to USAPHC.

Transport of Biomedical Materials (Online Refresher Course)(Sponsor: USAPHC) Registrant must be DoD or DoD contractor personnel who has successfully completed the initial TBM training or a 2-week DoD certification training course. You may register for this refresher course ONLY if your basic TBM training is due to expire within 90 days. Registrations not meeting the 90 day timeframe will be deleted and you will be required to reregister within the 90 day timeframe. You have 30 days to complete the course.
