Injury Prevention
Injury Prevention Topics

The goals of injury prevention are to enhance the combat readiness and health of Soldiers by preventing injuries; and reduce injury rates Army-wide through a systematic program that guides and supports Army and Command prevention efforts through routine surveillance, evidence-based recommendations, rigorous program and policy evaluation, and collaboration.

Building an injury prevention program begins with the desire to safely maintain and improve Soldier fitness and readiness. Once preventable injuries are identified, a unit must be willing to enact and enforce corrective policies and procedures. Preventable injuries can never be identified without some type of injury surveillance. The Injury Prevention Through Leadership Course External Link is designed to equip leaders with the necessary knowledge to implement an effective injury prevention program.
