Army Hearing Technician Certification Courses

The following is a list of upcoming Army Hearing Technician Certification Courses for DoD military personnel or DoD civilians who have Hearing Program duties assigned, specifically use of the Defense Occupational and Environmental Readiness System-Hearing Conservation (DOEHRS-HC) as a part of their work responsibilities. Courses are typically 3 1/2 to 4 days in length and will prepare the student for their role as Occupational Hearing Conservationists.  Please contact the Course Sponsor for additional information about a specific course.

Description
Army Noise Measurements and Assessments(Sponsor: USAPHC) Instruction on how to identify situations with the potential to cause noise-induced hearing loss or vibration-related injury, to conduct appropriate measurements to evaluate worker exposure, and to discuss evaluation methods. Module will be open in Blackboard from 1 September-30 November 2013, and 1 January-31 March 2014.
Hearing Technician Certification Course(Sponsor: USAPHC) This training is available to those who use the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System-Hearing Conservation (DOEHRS-HC) test software as part of their military or DoD civilian job requirements. Each 3½ day training course is for individuals who have never been certified to perform hearing tests (and other hearing readiness-related tasks) or for those technicians whose certification is about to expire (certification is good for 5 years). Courses are scheduled 14-17 April 2015, 20-23 April 2015, 9-12 June 2015, 15-18 June 2015, 15-18 September 2015 and 21-24 September 2015 at Aberdeen Proving Ground-North, MD. Courses are also scheduled for 20-24 October 2014, 8-12 December 2014 and 8-11 September 2015 at JB, San Antonio, TX.
