Toxicity Evaluation Program

The Toxicity Evaluation Program (TEP) provides toxicological services for the identification of potential health hazards resulting from occupational exposures and focuses on providing expertise in support of civilian and troop health protection.  This is accomplished through identifying chemical hazards and recommending preventive procedures for avoiding or minimizing exposures.  We support the Army’s Preventive Medicine Program and Soldier readiness by means of consultations, evaluations, and toxicity clearances.

When information is limited, in-house toxicological screening and exposure-specific testing is conducted.  Our subject matter experts formulate recommendations for the safe handling and use of toxic substances or products based upon the results of these studies and information searches.
