– Accredited public health laboratory services to support worldwide DoD Force Health Protection through scientifically sound, timely & accurate testing.
Diagnostics Section – Human, animal & arthropod specimen analysis for disease surveillance & outbreak investigation.
• Services include testing for rabies, leishmaniasis, brucellosis, ehrlichiosis, Q fever & other public health diseases
• The Diagnostics Division takes great pride in supporting the health & combat readiness of Military Working Dogs (MWD) worldwide & the international travel of pets belonging to military Families
Food Microbiology & Chemistry Sections– Protect the force by ensuring food safety, fitness for consumption, & contractual compliance through microbiological, chemical, & toxicological testing of food & bottled water.
• Sample matrices include dairy products, meat & fish products, prepared salads & sandwiches, operational rations, animal feeds, canned/packaged foods, fresh fruits & vegetables, cosmetics, vitamins, & drugs
Cholinesterase Reference Laboratory- Occupational health medical surveillance, reference laboratory & database repository in support of the DoD Chemical Surety Program.
