Exposure Modeling

Life History and Bioaccumulation Factors:
This document gives life history and bioaccumulation factors. Life history data include ingestion rates, food types, home range and body weight range and population characteristics, which enable calculation of exposure estimates for various wildlife species. Bioaccumulation data include refined chemical and biota-specific data that can be used to determine wildlife trophic transfer of contaminant concentrations in various food items.

Spatially Explicit Exposure Model (SEEM) and Habitat Suitability Database (HSI):
SEEM is a  population-level model of selected wildlife species that estimates intake and risk as influenced by a determined area's relative habitat quality. HSI integrates the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Habitat Suitability Indices into a user-friendly database format, that functions with SEEM.
