Description

Lean Leader Training is four-day course that focuses on using Lean tools in everyday process improvement.  Using a student-driven simulation, graduates will learn process/value-stream mapping, process waste identification/reduction, basic Lean tools (5S, layout/flow balancing, set-up time reduction) as well as advanced Lean techniques (visual display/controls, standardization and standardized work, generic work system/pull system).  Everyday improvement is critical in building a culture of Continuous Process Improvement. 

Prerequisites
  • There are no prerequisites for this course.
Remarks
  • This course is only available to APHC Civilians, Military, and Non-Appropriated Fund employees.
  • An approved project is required to enroll in this course.
  • There is a test on the last day.
  • In the case of inclement weather (causing a delayed opening), this course
