2. Calculate statistical problems (i.e. geometric mean, standard deviation, confidence intervals, etc.)
3. Distinguish between logarithmic and normal distributions
4. Identify the statistical test used in DOEHRS-IH
5. Demonstrate the Presentation of data interpretation and evaluation

This online module will provide participants with knowledge of the basic concepts and logic of statistical reasoning, and a practical ability to choose, generate, and properly interpret appropriate descriptive and inferential methods. The course also helps students recognize the diverse applications of statistics in the DOEHRS-IH data repository, and its relevance to Army industrial hygiene staff member duties. This module is designed for industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety professionals.

You will need speakers or headphones to hear the audio. Slide Deck notes pages will be available on Blackboard. You may wish to print

these and have them available during the videos. Bring materials to take notes (pens, pencils, highlighter, self-stick tabs, etc.) A scientific

calculator may be required.

CERTIFICATES, CEUs & POINTS:

Certificates are issued to students who achieve a passing score. Attendance of all online module sections is required in order to receive a

certificate for the module. ABIH provides CM points for this module to those who are eligible. CEUs are issued by Career Program 12 for

this module to those who meet all passing requirements.
