This Blackboard Learn self-development course describes ventilation evaluation protocols needed to control exposures
during to spray painting and welding, to vehicle exhaust during vehicle maintenance and use, and in laboratories; and identifies the criteria for evaluation of ventilation controls and demonstrates how to perform the related calculations.
This online module supports the industrial hygiene engineering controls competency by explaining Ventilation Evaluation Protocols for Spray Painting, Welding, Vehicle Exhaust, and Laboratory; identifying criteria for evaluation of ventilation controls; demonstrating how to apply related calculations; and testing the equipment used to conduct appropriate ventilation measurements needed to evaluate a worker’s exposure. This course is one in a five course series for this competency. A Public Health Command professional engineer from program 55 Industrial Hygiene Field Services provided instruction.
