Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) have been established to give non-veterinary health care providers guidance on the emergency care of Military Working Dogs (MWDs) and are located on the US Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) webpage:  Clinical Management of Military Working Dogs March 2012.  

The DODMWDVS Director has the responsibility and authority to update the MWD emergency Clinical Practice Guidelines for non-veterinary health care providers.
