Ground level ozone observations appear to be on par with the forecast on this sunny Friday afternoon with all zones green, except isolated yellow possible in the Upstate region. For Saturday, high pressure will remain over the open Atlantic. This feature will continue to pump cleaner tropical air into the region that is generally free of ozone precursors. Also, moisture should increase in earnest as a disturbance lifts northward from the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Early day sun will likely lead to scattered afternoon storms. All regions should peak in the GREEN range on Saturday.
