Stack Emission Testing

Last Updated: October 15, 2018

The Environmental Health Engineering Division (EHED) can perform stack emissions testing for HAPs and other regulated air pollutants to determine concentrations being emitted to the atmosphere. Stack tests are necessary to evaluate compliance with NSPS limits. Our stack test data may also be used for health risk assessments or to evaluate the efficiency of pollution abatement equipment. The Environmental Health Engineering Division (EHED) has tested many types of emission sources including incinerators (medical waste, hazardous waste, municipal waste), boiler plants, chrome plating towers, welding booths, forging operations, conventional munitions demilitarization furnaces, and chemical agent demilitarization furnaces.
