DPS Air Sampling Kit
The Deployment Particulate Matter Surveillance equipment is used to collect 24-hour ambient air samples to be analyzed for particulate matter less than 10 micrometers in diameter (PM10) and metals or particulate matter less than 2.5 micrometers in diameter (PM2.5) and metals. Media is not included in the kit. Be sure you request media in addition to the sampling equipment.
The Deployment Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Surveillance equipment is used to collect 8-hour ambient air samples to be analyzed by a laboratory for VOCs. This equipment will allow the user to collect a co-located sample. Media is not included in the kit. Be sure you request media in addition to the sampling equipment.
Treated Water Kit
The treated water kit is used to collect water samples from water supplies known/suspected to have a low turbidity content. These kits are best used on ROWPU treated water, municipal treated water, and established wells.
Soil Sampling Kit
The deployment soil kit allows the user to collect 3 samples for metals, semi-volatile organic compound (SVOC), pesticide/herbicide/PCB, and radiation screen laboratory analysis. The soil kit does not include a scoop, bowl, decontamination solution and cleaning supplies. These items are contained in the DOEHS Backpack. If you do not have a backpack, please request these items in addition to the soil kit or request a DOEHS backpack in addition to the soil kit.
Untreated Raw Water Sampling Kit
The untreated raw water kit is used to collect water samples from water sources known or suspected to have a high turbidity content. These kits are best used in river water, newly constructed well water, water expected to have salt water intrusion, and pond water.
The DOEHS backpack is an administrative and supplemental DOEHS equipment and media pack. Some items included are: soil sampling supplies, pH and chlorine test strips, power strips, transformers, gloves, wipes, writing utensils, and tools. A backpack is not required to use the kits listed above. Items from the backpack can be ordered separately to resupply a backpack you already have or to supplement the kits above.
