Assist in identification and monitoring of legacy public health threats resulting from past disposal practices.  Identify current and emerging environmental public health threats through waste characterization and disposal consultations.  Train personnel in waste management and transportation regulations.  Assess quality and effectiveness of guidance and training through assistance and programmatic assessments.

​The APHC has specialists to evaluate hazardous materials, hazardous and solid waste, and regulated medical waste management problems, conduct sustainability evaluations, assess new environmental control technologies, and provide guidance on chemical stockpile emergency preparedness and planning. We offer practical and cost-effective solutions to better protect the public health and the environment, as well as comply with Federal, State, local, and DoD regulations.
