In 2017, the Division of Behavioral and Social Health Outcomes Practice (BSHOP) conducted a web-based, anonymous survey to identify risk factors affecting the behavioral and occupational health of Soldiers in the U.S. Army Veterinary Services (VS). Participants included 712 Soldiers, consisting of Active Duty and Reserve Veterinarians, Veterinary Food Inspection Specialists, Animal Care Specialists, and Food Safety Warrant Officers.
