Sleep, Activity, and Nutrition

• Sleep.  Because Soldier life can make it difficult to get enough quality sleep, follow these guidelines and if you think you may have a sleeping disorder seek medical evaluation.
• Activity.  Whether part of your exercise lifestyle or as a job duty, Soldiers are required to stay physically fit; as a Soldier you face unique challenges such as overuse injuries if training is not balanced and doesn't include rest days.
• Nutrition.  Maintaining good weight is important – but the quality of your diet as well as proper hydration for Soldiers' activities (which are much higher than for the average adult) – are key.

Steroids and Supplement Use

Though anabolic steroids are illegal for Soldiers, some may be tempted to use them to build muscle quickly. Evidence shows, however, anabolic steroids are associated with numerous health problems. Certain supplements can also have risks. Go HERE for details.
